LEGAL MATRIX: “Crimea and Freedom of Expression Online”

Dear colleagues and partners,
The American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) in Ukraine, in partnership with the Free Legal Aid Coordination Center and with the organizational support of the PRAVOKATOR network of legal clubs, keeps carrying out a series of online discussions in the Legal Matrix format on Internet freedoms and freedom of expression online.
The topic of the next event is "Crimea and Freedom of Expression Online", which will be held on August 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Discussion points:
restrictions of Internet freedoms in Crimea - what are they, what else to expect,
the future of the freedom of expression online in Crimea – the Russian Internet (Runet) and its impact on the future of freedoms in Crimea,
opportunities for Ukraine to support its citizens under such circumstances;
what steps could Ukraine take to improve the situation with respect to the rights and freedoms of its citizens in the occupied Crimea?

Please note that the discussions will be held online in the form of closed meetings on the Zoom platform.
Unfortunately, due to objective reasons related to the ability to efficiently moderate an online discussion, the number of participants is limited, and the organizers reserve the right to select participants based on the results of the analysis of registration forms received.
The matrix program will be sent to registered and selected participants of the discussion by email.
